The Definition of Fashion

With the development of society, both technology and culture  changes at an accelerating pace. There is no doubt that we can deeply feel the benefits of the technology advance. However, the development of culture which is more subtle, for it is invisible and  you cannot see it with your eyes, should not be neglected.

A good many newborn concepts, words and extended definitions appear in our life every single year. In a similarly way, the definition of fashion may vary in different periods. In modern times, the concept of pursuing fashion is deeply rooted in people’s mind. What is fashion? Different people have different fashion concepts.

For instance, suppose there is a top-grade leather handbag that is very popular, because of its unique design, lovely colour, reasonable size as well as high-quality leather. We can see the handbag everywhere in the street. In a sense, it is called fashion. What if the streets are filled with the handbag? I think it can only be called common rather than fashion.

Whatever suitable is the best. One can change styles now and then, but remember not to go along with the crowd, continue to hold the styles of one’s own.
